Fifty years spent making new technology understandable.
The High-Tech Whisperer
“Some people inherit advantages. I inherited challenges. The difference is that challenges taught me how to grow.”
I've watched five technologies arrive that were each supposed to change everything — consumer electronics, personal computers, desktop publishing, software-as-a-service, and now artificial intelligence. Every time, the same gap opened up: the people who created the technology couldn't explain it, and the people who needed it couldn't understand it…or were afraid of it.
My work has always lived in that gap. I anticipate where technology is heading and build the thing that lets ordinary, capable people act on it — a magazine, an application, a workshop, a book. If technology is innovative, fills a real need, and excites me, I know how to translate that excitement into a compelling story that informs, inspires, and draws people in.
Solving real problems rarely requires just one skill. Photography, graphic design, copywriting, publishing, screenwriting, and video production each contribute to a different piece of the process. Together with fifty years of experience spanning five technology revolutions, I used each of these tools to transform complex ideas into compelling stories, practical solutions, and finished products that educate, persuade, and inspire action.
My career arc, one era at a time.
